Our philosophy

A small, calm salon with a long memory for what you said last time.

We cut for the way you move, not the way you pose. Good hair is what happens on a Tuesday, not just on the day you leave the salon.
  1. i.

    Consult first, always

Fifteen unhurried minutes before any scissors or colour come out. Free, and never a sales pitch.

  2. ii.

    Colour that grows out well

We plan for week six, not just week one. Soft roots, lived-in lines and honest advice on upkeep.

  3. iii.

    Products we would use ourselves

A short, edited shelf. If we would not put it on our own heads, it does not get stocked.

Best cut I have had in years. Nothing rushed, and it dried beautifully at home.

My colour looks better at week eight than it did on the day. That is the whole point.

Nº 06 · Questions

Good questions

Cannot see yours? Call 01632 960 123 and a real person (in this fiction, at least) will answer.

Do I need a consultation before colour?
New colour clients start with a free 15 minute consultation, which can be done in person or over the phone. First-time colour also needs a patch test at least 48 hours before, and we will book that in with you.
How far ahead should I book?
Cuts are usually available within a week. Balayage and bridal trials book up three to four weeks out, so it is worth reserving those early.
What if I need to move or cancel?
Please give us 24 hours' notice and we will happily move you at no charge. Late changes to colour appointments may carry a fee, because the time was set aside just for you.
How much will my balayage actually cost?
Prices start from the figure on the list and depend on hair length, thickness and how much lightening is needed. At your consultation we give you a written quote before anything begins.
Do you cut curly and coily hair?
Yes. Tariq and Cass both cut curls dry, working with your natural pattern. Tell us when you book and we will allow a little extra time.
Is the studio step-free?
The studio is on the ground floor with a step-free entrance. If you need a particular chair height, a quieter slot or anything else adjusted, just tell us when you book.
