Your first visit

What happens when you come in

No surprises. Here is exactly how a first appointment goes, so you can relax before you even arrive.

  1. Say hello

Come in, grab a drink and have a chat. We want to hear what you are hoping for and what worries you before anyone picks up an instrument.

  2. A gentle check

We look at your teeth, gums and mouth, and talk through each step as we go. X-rays are only taken if they are needed.

  3. A clear plan

You get a written plan with options and prices in plain English. Nothing starts until you have said yes.

  4. Your next step

Book treatment when it suits you, or simply book your next check-up. Questions are always welcome afterwards.

Questions

Things people often ask

I am very nervous about the dentist. Can you help?

Yes, and you are in good company. Tell us when you book and we will give you a longer first appointment, time to talk, and a clear signal to pause whenever you need to. There is no pressure to have treatment on the day.

How often should I have a check-up?

It depends on your mouth. Many adults are advised to come every six to twelve months, and some people need to be seen less or more often. Your dentist will recommend an interval that suits you.

How much will treatment cost?

We give you a written treatment plan with prices before anything begins, so you can decide in your own time. Membership plans can also spread the cost of routine care.

Is whitening right for everyone?

Not always. We check your teeth and gums first, explain what to expect, including possible sensitivity, and only go ahead if it is a good fit for you.

Do you see children?

Yes. We love seeing families, and we keep early visits short, friendly and a bit playful so children build confidence from the start.

What should I do in a dental emergency?

Call us on 01632 960 123 as early as you can. We keep time free for urgent problems and will do our best to see you quickly. If you have swelling that affects your breathing or swallowing, call 999 or go to A&E.
